WARRING BRIDE

The picture of a warring bride! Beautifully dressed with her sword in hand.  This is how each of us should look in our daily life!  Seriously.

We are the Bride of Christ and we are making preparations within ourselves to be worthy to walk beside Him. Revelation 19: 7-8 says "Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him.  For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself.  She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.” For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people."   Another way we prepare ourselves to walk at His side is to..."Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm... and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

The Father is asking each of us to UNDERSTAND both of these roles.  The days we are living in demand of us to relate to Jesus as the lover of our souls, to put him first, to love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength.  But also to recognize that we are in the most desperate battle of mankind, to overcome all the wiles of Satan and his demons and remain steadfastly sold out to Jesus.  Not an easy path to walk!!  Is it possible to be sold out 100% to love and loving; and at the same time be ready to do battle each and every day?  The Bible is full of paradoxes (statements or propositions that seem self-contradictory or absurd but in reality expresses a possible truth).  The Father is asking us to be both brides and warriors at the same time.

The call to the church is to wake up to this fact!!  The church, the body of Christ, has taken an arm chair view of following Jesus.  We have learned how to be entertained by the society we live in. We are spectators in nearly every aspect of our lives.  We have become watchers, of TV, movies, sports, the stock market, politicians, etc.  Life has become quite easy and our NEEDS are taken care of.  We pursue more and more of everything, except GOD.  Even the church is caught up in the pursuit of prosperity.  It is very easy to accept this kind of Christianity.  It doesn’t tax us, or require much out of us.  We just want Father God to give to us but not expect anything from us.

But that is not really relationship.  In a recent conversation with the Lord he asked me, “Aren’t I enough??”  He has given so much for me, His only begotten Son went through HELL for me.  He has invited me to have a relationship with Him that will last for eternity.  That is the greatest gift that anyone has ever given me, and yet I am still not content at times!  I whine! Why do I whine??  Is HE not enough??  My spirit longs to know Him more intimately, to be His bride, but there is constant war even with my flesh to bring it under submission to the Word of God and the authority of the Holy Spirit. I am so glad that HE continues to pursue me, never gives up on me, has patience and gentleness, and loves me with an all enduring love.  I really do want to PLEASE Him and become more and more like Him!! That is His call right now, COME closer and more deeply into what I have for you my bride, my warring bride.

You see He wants to share His insight and revelation with us because He loves us and wants us to understand the times we are in.  But DO WE REALLY WANT TO KNOW? Do we really want to wake up from our slumber??  This is the final hour and He is calling us, His warring bride, to WAKE UP!

Are you ready to be His warring Bride?
